The Arts and Peace Programme offers the following exhibitions:
Drawing an armed conflict, drawing peace, that features 5 roll up panels (2meters x 80cm), that include several drawings made by children from different countries affected by armed conflicts. There are drawings about arms and soldiers, human rights violations, houses and movements of displaced people and refugees, as well as peace drawings. They also include texts and poems written by children. (The exhibition is in Catalan. The website is in both Catalan and Spanish).
With the weapons of the art: arms that have become sculptures. Under this title we propose two exhibitions in two different formats:
- Shooting Art, comprised of 5 roll up panels, (2meters x 80cm) with photographs of different artistic and sculptural works made with arms, -small, light, knives and ammunitions-, in different places of the world. There are also some sentences and texts around the work presented, on culture of violence and of the possibilities of transforming it into peace culture by means of the art. (This exhibition is in Catalan. The website is in Catalan and Spanish).
- Arms for art, which features the impression of 40 photographs in foam board of different artistic and sculptural works made out of arms, -small, light, knives and ammunition-, from different places in the world. The proposal also includes catalogues and material of the work of different artists and a sample of documentaries on the transformation of the arms into sculptures (mostly in English). (This exhibition is in Catalan, but it can be available in Spanish or English, too. The website is in Catalan and Spanish).
