In the post-war contexts, looking for a major stability in the peace building process, the Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR) programs for former combatants are a relevant aspect on this matter. At the moment, due to the multiplicity of intervening factors and its difficult to implement, the School for a Culture of Peace, through a project ordered by the Spanish Cooperation Agency (AECI) aims to do a comparative analysis on the current contexts where a DDR program is appearing. On that sense, here we can find the explanation of the current DDR programs, in order to establish a future comparative analysis.
